This is one of my FAVORITE SHOWS. I WILL NEVER STOP TALKING ABOUT IT. This show reminds me of Romeo and Juliet; you have Lan Zhan/Wanji, who is cold and standoffish, and he falls in love with Wei Ying/Wuxian. The thing about this “Bromance” is that you see the love in the way they move together, the way they look at each other, it was love at first sight, even tho most of us might not know it, we question it A LOT!!!!!!!. Let me break it down for you as much as I possibly can can without giving to much away.

OST: The theme song for this song is simply beautiful, a mixture of Chinese Classical and Western Classical instruments is perfect, and they mix perfectly. The song tells a love story between two people who face ups and downs; it’s a journey we take before the show starts. Xiao Zhan and Wang Yibo are the main Characters of the show, and they sing the song, which makes it more powerful.

The show: With fifty episodes, you are taken on a journey. Wei Ying, a child with no parents, was taken in by another clan because his father was close to the clan leader, and he was raised beside the clan leader’s two other kids, given the same opportunity as they were, although his adoptive mother did not like it. At the age of fifteen, he goes to the Lan clan to learn about the clan. There, we meet Lan Wanji, a well-behaved young man who does not get close to people. Lan Zhan and Wei Ying meet outside the gates of the Lan Clan. This is where Lan Zhan falls in love with Wei Ying, and the two get closer as they fight off demonic spirits trying to take over. When things are settled, Wei Ying and his brother and sister (adoptive) go back to the Jiang clan. In the process, Wei Ying’s family gets attacked, and his adoptive parents are killed. Wei Ying, Jiang Cheng, and Jiang Yanli end up on the run (this is unbelievable that everything is happening to my pretty pretty princess Wei Ying). There is more to this story, but I do not want to give much away because I tend to spoil things. Watch it, I promise that you will not be disappointed, it will bring you to tears, make you laugh, and have your heart rate sky high. It’s a great watch.

Clans

Books: The Books are named The Grandmaster or Demonic Cultivation by Mo Xiang Tong Xiu. It is a light Novel plus Manga, and they are a Boys Love, but with China and the censorship laws, it’s a Bromance.
